What We Do
Find out more by visiting Our Services.
Targeted Case Management/Service Coordination
Life with a disability doesn’t come with a manual. That’s why we help families think through your needs and goals and connect you with information & support.
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Support
Navigating the educational system when your child has a disability can be a challenge. We can work with you to advocate on your child’s behalf and find support for school.
Advocacy and Training
We support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to build skills and access high quality information so they can better navigate life.
Independent Living Counseling
Sometimes we just need a litle help to figure it out and then we can do it on our own. That’s why we offer independent living counseling for adults who want to build their skills.
Technical Assistance to statewide and local self-advocacy groups
The Arc of Douglas County is proud to support the local self-advocacy chapter, as well as the statewide self advocacy organization, Self Advocate Coalition of Kansas.
Community Partnerships
Through partnerships with organizations and agencies here and across the state, we work to make our comunity a better place for people with disabilities.
Supporting Families since 1956
For over 60 years, we have been connecting families of individuals with developmental disabiltiies in our community with needed resources and supports so they can live full lives. Will you help us continue our important work?
